Virtual Serial Port Driver for Linux (VSPDL) brings Tibbo Virtual Serial Ports (VSPs) into Linux environment. VSPDL features closely mimic those of its Windows counterpart (supplied in Device Server Toolkit)- if you are familiar with the VSPD for Windows you will instantly recognize most of user-definable parameters in the VSPDL configuration file.

Virtual Serial Port Driver for Linux (VSPDL) is available in two different versions: gzipped TAR archive and RPM package. System requirements and installation procedure can be found here.

Current release: V1.41, published on 04 Mar 2009

  • Fixed several issues for 2.6.x kernels.
  • SLHC layer may now use this virtual TTY, so SLIP/CSLIP over IP using virtual serial port works.
