Tibbo Technology - Taiko Tutorial

We are done documenting all these objects and new TIDE features that have been added over the past year.

Significantly, the display (lcd.), keypad (kp.), and flash disk (fd.) objects are now fully documented, as are md5 and sha1 functions.

Also note sys.serialnmum and sys.setserialnmum.

New documentation release also contains information about new TIDE and Tibbo BASIC compiler features, such as preprocessor (#if, etc.).

Terminal Demo and New TIDE and TiOS version released

A new application demo for the EM1000-TEV is available for download now, it demonstrates how our modules can be turned into a fully functional product. Please read more about it here.

New version of TIDE and TiOS is available for download with some minor updates and bug fixes, this new version is required to run the Terminal Demo, you can download it here.

Taiko = programmability -- in BASIC! It is a combination of PC software, an embedded OS (called TiOS), and Tibbo hardware that allows you to create a program in BASIC and then run it on select Tibbo external devices and embedded modules.

The three main components are:

	Tibbo BASIC A lightweight, powerful programming language, similar to other types of BASIC. It is easy to learn and fast to develop with.

	TiOS -- Tibbo Operating System Firmware for select Tibbo Devices which runs your program within a Virtual Machine.
		Structure of TiOS

	TIDE -- Tibbo Integrated Development Environment Powerful development software for Windows in which you write and cross-debug your Tibbo BASIC code.
