Embedding an EM Into a 3.3V Board

Question: I want to embed an EM device (EM100, EM202) in a board which has 3.3V RX/TX lines. Is this possible? Do I have to do something so it would work?

Answer: This is usually fine. For the RX line of the EM (input into the module) there should be no problem. And as for the Tx line from the EM – you need to make sure that the 0-5V signal “swing” will not damage your circuit. It should be OK, since most 3.3V devices are usually “5V-tolerant”.
