The EM1000-TEV development system offers all necessary components for convenient development of EM1000-based data collection, control, and automation devices.
The System comes complete with the EM1000 module, LCD, keypad, serial ports, I/O, and an optional Wi-Fi interface.
IP68 certification means the DS1000, when used with its secondary cover, is guaranteed to be 100% dust-proof, as well as water-proof for depths of several meters. You can use it underwater!
The DS1000 has been tested by Integrated Service Technology (a third-party IEC/ISO accredited laboratory).
The new WA1000 Wi-Fi board adds wireless communications capability to the already powerful EM1000 BASIC-programmable embedded module.
The WA1000 is fully supported in the Tibbo BASIC programming environment via a sophisticated Wi-Fi ( wln.) object available on the EM1000W platform.

Firmware for Tibbo Devices

Important firmware change related to Windows Vista
In older versions of DS/EM firmware the default IP address was 0.0.0.1. Under Vista the DS Manager won't be able to auto-discover Tibbo Devices with this IP. Apparently, the firewall (or TCP/IP stack) of the Vista OS "blocks" this IP. We have changed the default IP to 1.0.0.1 which appears to work fine under Vista.
One new setting -- Retransmission Period -- has also been added. See documentation for details.
How To Upgrade
Firmware of Tibbo Devices can be upgraded through the serial port or network. Serial upgrades always work while upgrading the firmware through
the network has several limitations. Some earlier Tibbo Devices do not support network upgrades at all. All newer devices do support network
upgrades but only when correct (older) firmware file is already loaded into the Device at the moment of upgrade procedure.
This means that by loading a wrong file you will render further network upgrades impossible until you load a correct firmware file through the serial port.
Which firmware file to use for upgrade depends on the model number of your Tibbo Device and sometimes on how you wish to perform the upgrade-
through the serial port or network. Make sure you choose correct firmware file!
Upgrades can be performed using the
upgrade function of our
DS Manager software, a part of
Device Server Toolkit (DST). You can download the DST
here.
Notice that there is a relationship between the firmware version you are using on Tibbo Devices and the minimum DST version that should be installed
on the PC to take a full advantage of this firmware. Hence, if you are upgrading the firmware you may need to upgrade the DST as well.

Current release: V3.34, published on 29MAY2007 |
We have stopped supporting our earliest devices (shown in the left column below). All these devices have
not been in production for over four years. Devices in the right column below are and will be supported in the foreseeable future. These devices
can be upgraded through the serial port or network. |
For EM100-00/ -01/ -02, DS100-00/ -01/ -02 use "W" build.
| For EM100-03/ -04, DS100R-03/ -04, DS100B-00/ -01/ -02 use "SN" or "S" builds |
Tibbo no longer releases firmware upgrades for these devices. |
